Marketing Director - Video Division 

Avid Technology, Inc. seeks an experienced and qualified Marketing Director to lead the Marketing Communications team in the Video division. The Marketing Director, reporting to the Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, will be responsible for the development and execution of Avid’s strategic marketing communications programs, and will ensure that overall marketing initiatives are designed to drive the business towards optimal growth. The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills and the ability to assess existing and potential key marketing opportunities. The candidate will have strong design and brand strategy experience, while also having experience in developing practical marketing programs designed to directly impact sales.

The Marketing Director will work in conjunction with executive management to establish strategic marketing plans and objectives and work with internal teams to bring programs to the market. The candidate will directly or indirectly manage cross-functional teams in the areas of Marketing Communications including: Graphics, Advertising, Copywriting, E-Marketing, Public Relations, Artist Relations, Media Production, Events Marketing, as well as Co-Marketing Programs. The candidate will also interact closely with Sales and Product Marketing to maintain successful alignment of marketing programs across functional areas within the company.

The successful Marketing Director candidate will have experience in developing and executing marketing plans for multiple product lines into a number of different market segments through different sales channels including resellers, distributors and directly to customers. The candidate will have the ability to analyze and evaluate such programs for effectiveness.
